My baby love it

We bought this mobile for my baby that is 2 months old and he loves it. The movement of the toys is not round so he has to do an effort to follow his favorite toy (the seahorse). He could spend a lot of time just seeing the movement of the toys, I recommend it.
FANTASTIC...until today

We got this mobile as a shower gift....it went perfect with our beachy/sea creatures themed nursery. We use it every night and my little girl LOVES it! She would fall asleep to the peaceful music or ocean sounds and the swaying of her "friends". In the morning she would have full out conversations with them! It was so funny and absolutely adorable. We have only ever had to change the batteries in it one time, which I think is fantastic seeing how much it gets used. Within the past week however, the arm has stopped swaying. The music still plays, so we assumed it was batteries. After replacing the batteries, we have come to the conclusion that when they say to only use from birth to 5 months, they mean it! Our daughter is 5 1/2 months and the arm will sway for a moment or two and then stop....very sad because we really do love this mobile. Seeing how she is ready to move on from the mobile, this one will be retired, however I would still buy another one in the future for a second child. My only other suggestion for this would be for Fisher Price to give it some sort of remote control so that it could be turned on from the door instead of having to reach in and press the on button.
Baby loves it. But does not rotate. by .. AC ()
The baby loves the ocean sound and the melody. The arm swings back and forth which gives the mobile movement, but the hanging mobile itself at the top of the arm does not rotate.
Nice but has some problems by .. krysia (NY)
It is nice because:
-it is battery powered
-not too expensive
-nice creatures and music
-interesting movement of the animals - not just a simple circle
Issues:
-the mechanism makes some sound, which can be quite annoying
-there is a snap strap to attach it to the crib, if you have a crib with a rounded profile and a center bar it will be difficult to hang it it properly
- if it does not hang properly the animals may not move in the mobile - the white bar only moves to the left and right, the movement of the animals is a combination of the bar movement and gravity/different weight of the animals. If the mobile is not perfectly straight ( see comment above) the animals will not move! :(
I still like it but it stopped swaying today, gues I have to fix the strap again.
PS. Your baby can see only a foot away at 1 month and 2 feet at 2 months - You may want to adjust the height the baby grows

I installed this in the crib a week ago. My daughter (two months) absolutely loves it! It includes some of her same fishy-friends from her Ocean Wonders swing. She loves to watch them "swim."
Like so many others, the mobile has stopped spinning properly. While the arm still sways back and forth, it gets stuck on one side sometimes. So, the fishies stop "swimming" for several "sways" before they start back up again.
I tried changing the batteries, it didn't help.
So far, my daughter isn't complaining about it, so we're still using it.
My reason for the 3 star rating at this time:
I'm afraid it will completely stop working and I'll need to buy a new one.
